Media

Media

Multigrade Filter Media (MGF) is a layered bed of granular materials used in water treatment for effective removal of suspended solids and turbidity. It typically consists of:

Coarse Gravel (20–40 mm): Supports the filter bed and underdrain.

Medium Gravel (6–20 mm): Acts as a transition layer.

Coarse Sand (1–2 mm): Traps larger particles.

Fine Sand (0.4–1 mm): Provides fine filtration.

Optional Media:

Activated Carbon – for organics and odor removal

Manganese Dioxide/Greensand – for iron and manganese removal

Anthracite – for increased filtration depth in dual media filters

Key Benefits:

High filtration efficiency, longer run cycles, compact design, and low maintenance.
